About
Built from personal experience. Backed by science.
The Origin
Why Cognic exists
Cognic started in the lowest point of my life. I was going through a depressive episode, struggling with ADHD, and looking for anything that might help. Meditation kept coming up — but every time I tried, it felt wrapped in incense and mysticism that I couldn't connect with.
So I did what I always do — I started researching. What I found changed everything. Decades of peer-reviewed neuroscience showing real, measurable changes in the brain. Improved attention. Reduced default-mode network activity. Structural changes in the prefrontal cortex.
The science was there. The delivery wasn't. So I built Cognic — a meditation app that strips away the stigma and leads with evidence. No crystals. No chakras. Just structured protocols grounded in cognitive neuroscience.
“I didn't need someone to tell me to find my inner light. I needed someone to show me the fMRI scans.”

The people behind Cognic
Zach Wolfe
Founder & Developer
A 27-year-old developer and new father who turned a personal struggle with depression and ADHD into a mission. Zach combines his technical background with a deep obsession for neuroscience research to build meditation tools that actually make sense.
Elijah Scanlan
Audio Engineer & Sound Design
A music producer and audio engineer who crafts every background soundscape in Cognic. Working under his artist name 1220two, Eli brings a meticulous ear for sonic detail — designing audio environments that support focus, relaxation, and deep cognitive engagement.
Our Mission
Make meditation make sense
We believe meditation is one of the most powerful tools for cognitive performance — and it shouldn't require buying into a belief system to use it. Cognic exists to bridge the gap between ancient practice and modern neuroscience, making evidence-based meditation accessible to everyone.
